Well when I found out I was pregnant, a due date of December 30th seemed light years away and here it is December 1st!
As of today I started my weekly doctor appointments. Today we got an ultrasound to see what Eli has been up to and to get some measurements. Things looked great and he is currently estimated to be about 6 1/2 pounds! The doctor said he could gain another half pound each week from here on out. So if I don't go until my due date....we will be looking at a good sized boy!
The ultrasound technician was trying to get a face forward shot of his face and he turned his head and stuck his tongue out at us twice! It was so hilarious that you could see him doing that:) So is he trying to be cute or do we have an ornery boy on our hands???
According to the doctor I am 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced. SO, what that means is that I could have a baby in a few days or a few more weeks.....I guess the waiting game begins! Personally, I don't feel like it's happening anytime soon, which is perfectly fine with me!
According to my 1st grade class and their poll that we took, 3 think I will have the baby before my due date, 15 think exactly on my due date, and 3 after my due date! So we'll see who's right!
Other than that, we are pretty much ready for Eli. We just had a double baby shower in Wichita that my mom and aunt hosted for me and my twin sister(she is expecting in April). IT was fun to see everyone one last time before the big day! So we got a lot more baby stuff that we needed. I do have a long list of things but looking at it, most of it is stuff that could be taken care of after he arrives.
